Tripod fractures (zygomaticomaxillary fractures)
Very common facial edema may hide examination findings. Caused by direct blows to the cheekAlong with the zygomatic arch, the anteromedial wall of the maxillary antrum is also broken, which may accompany the frontal bone and orbital fractures.
• Pain and numbness
• Trismus
• Diplopia - hyphema - enophthalmus
• Periorbital ecchymosis
• Restriction in eye movements
• The best method in diagnosis is CT.
