IICP (Intracranial pressure increase syndrome)

• Headache is the most common symptom in IICP. Headache due to IICP is the pain that occurs when getting up in the morning and increases with lying down.

• Vomiting, papilledema, unconsciousness are seen.

• Cranial MRI should be performed primarily in a patient who is considered to have IICP, and mass or meningeal involvement should be differentiated.

• Treatment in IICP is symptomatological, etiological and supportive treatment.

Intracranial hypotension

• The most common reason is lumbar puncture application.

• The most common finding is headache that occurs while standing and goes away when lying down.

• The diagnosis is made by dural contrast enhancement and small ventricles on MRI.
